Advancing Research: New Tools in Academic Publishing Workshop
Time: 15:00 – 17:00
Location: British Library, 96 Euston Rd, Kings Cross, NW1 2DB
Academic publishing is experiencing a wave of new tools – for collaboration, discovery, or enhanced usage of scholarly information and the digital monograph. Yet, how do researchers engage with these tools? How and where do they increase value in the scholarly communication cycle? And how can publishers make use of these tools?
This workshop aims at finding some answers to these and other questions. In a small circle with an engaging atmosphere, the workshop will bring together start-ups, researchers, and publishers. We will work with tools like PaperHive, Overleaf, or Yewno – in cooperation with the founders and managers of these start-ups – in order to evaluate the benefits for each participating group. The results of the event will lead to a publication.
Participants need to be researchers or publishers. Please register with institutional email address for verification. Registration works as an intend to attend. Successful applicants will receive an email.
